Multimeters

The multimeters can measure several quantities, specifically the dose, the kilovolts and the duration time of exposure.

With Decree 187/2000 relative to “health protection of persons against the dangers of ionising radiations connected to medical exposure”, it has become mandatory for the owners of radiogenic machines and machines with emission of x rays to have these machines checked periodically, as a guarantee of patient safety.

Fields of Use

The multimeters are used especially in radiodiagnostic medicine.

Calibration and certification

The multimeters are calibrated following two different procedures:

Accredia calibration certificate

The measurement of the dose integral and the dose rate follows the issue of Accredia calibration certificate.

Comecer calibration report

The measurement of the kV and Time quantities follows the issue of Comecer calibration report.

Recommended times

Comecer recommends periodic reading of the multimeters, at least once a year.
